Project365 8/52

After a good resting my knee felt better at the beginning of the week. The weather forecast for Tuesday was bright and dry so we decided to have some time out in Ross-On-Wye.

Ross is a lovely town just north of Monmouth and on the Welsh/English border. The thing I like most is that there are some small independent shops and cafes. One of the cafes had a mural painted on the front and side of the building. I think it’s very arty.
One thing we were on the look out for was a small chair or seat for our dressing room – hubby can’t put his trousers on stood up!!! We had a rummage around in a few of the second-hand and antique shops and found a small chair under some boxes and a stack of fabric. It’s upholstery is in good condition but the wood needed a good wipe down. We asked how much it was and the owner said we could take it away for £24! What a bargain when you consider how much a new one would cost and it wouldn’t have any of the character of the oldie!

Someone passed on their lurgy to me and I came down with a heavy cold on Wednesday. I didn’t go out of the door until we went food shopping on Friday, I was knackered by the time we came back and curled up for a sleep on the sofa!

This morning I took some macros of the moss and lichen growing on our bedroom windowsill – outside of course!!
