Week 6 #Project365 – 2014

The week didn’t start too well. We went for a walk on Sunday and ended up walking down a very muddy path it was really hard to stay upright!
We were planning on taking a route we hadn’t done for a while but when we were about a mile or so from home the rain started again. We quickly took a path through the local playing fields as the rain came down harder. By the time we got home we were both soaked to the skin. I didn’t take a brolly and I was wearing leggings, sweater and hooded fleece. A lovely hot shower then back in the PJs to get warm again. A cup of Bovril also helped to warm us up!

On Monday our son and DIL popped in to break the news that they are expecting another baby! DIL had sickness for the whole 9 months last time and she’s been poorly again for the start of this one. If I’m honest – I think they are potty to have another one. They were talking about clearing some debts and saving for a deposit for a house so I guess that’ll be out of the question for some time again now.

The wind has been bad the last few days and some of our fencing has been damaged. The panels are ok but a couple of the concrete posts have been become loose so the fence now leans!

We had Ashley on Saturday and as the park would have been too wet we took him to a local soft play area. He loves wheels of any kind and spends more time whizzing them around than climbing through the equipment!

Pictures this week –

  • Poor wet horse
  • Poor wet pony
  • If you look closely at the long shot you can see the Severn Bridge
  • Ashley spinning wheels and swinging on the pirate ship

i am not surprised you got so wet from the walk last Sunday – it is just like it at the moment everyday wet!
well a new grand child will be a lovely additon to your family and i guess their new house will come eventually. i hope she wil not be too ill, it is harder when you already have a little one to look after during pregnancy.
lovely pics of Ashely – my two love running around the soft play too (we have been today) x

awww the horse and pony look thoroughly peeved with it all 😦

  3. Aww, sorry you got soaked to the skin! Congrats on the new baby news. I’m sure you’ll come round to the idea! x

  4. well at least the horse and pony have a waterproof jacket, nothing worse than getting soaked to the knickers, apart from being frozen and soaked. My daughter could not really afford 2 more kids either but it was her decision not mine, and I am more than over the moon with the result.

  5. Angie Booth says:

congratulations on the announcement of a new grandchild x

  6. Oh the pony looks so cute despite the rain. Cool shot of the bridge in the distance behind the power lines. Hope you had some better weather this week.
