Today Hubby and I took our son and grandson Ashley to Porthcawl for the day. (His Mummy decided to have a day by herself – we all need one of them sometimes!) We had a walk along the tourist tat shops – you know the sort I mean..buckets and spades, postcards, penny arcades (although not pennies any longer!), candy floss and usual tat. We then walked to the town to get some lunch. We headed back to the park which is just behind the entrance to Coney Beach funfair. It’s a nice little park with plenty of equipment for all ages. All the benches were taken so we spread a towel on the grass under a shady tree. After eating his own lunch Ashley noticed his Daddy was eating a sausage and bean slice and snatched a bit off him.
He likes to pick a bit off at a time but sometimes misses his mouth then he uses his whole hand to try to stuff it in, wiping most of it around his gob as he goes!
After a short playtime in the park we headed to the beach but Ashley wasn’t keen to stay. I think being surrounded by other bigger children running around scared him and he was getting tired. We decided to have another walk around before heading back to the car for the journey home.
